TRUTH portrait

A note on the music

R&B built like songwriting used to be.

Poet first, vocalist always. Every record starts on the page — a line, a feeling worth naming — then the melody comes for it. Real R&B made for the people who still listen to the words.

Songwriting is the foundation of everything. The process moves from feeling to melody to concept, then shapes records with strong hooks, clean structure, and lyrics that hit direct without losing depth. Hooks are earned, bridges earn their place, and nothing makes the record unless it serves the story.

That same pen works for other artists too — topline, co-writes, full records, melodies, hooks, and concepts. The goal is the same on either side of the glass: a song someone can feel the first time and still find new in a year.

Production carries the writing the rest of the way — texture, transition, and vocal arrangement built around what the song already said. Contemporary R&B at the center, with pop, alternative, soul, and hip-hop bleeding in when the record asks for it.
